It soon becomes obvious that Fate has other plans…This joyful Southern-fried Jones Hope Wooten Comedy about love, marriage, sisterhood and three hundred pounds of good, ol’ Texas barbeque will have you laughing all the way down the aisle!

“Where There’s a Will” by Joe Simonelli
Dates: May 1-17, 2026
Directed by Mary Thornton

Through a quirk of fate the bard is transported through time to the year 2014 where he lands outside the house of Gordon Coldridge, a struggling playwright with a pushy manager and an estranged girlfriend! Up against a deadline with writer’s block due to an ill fated romance? Who best to assist you than William Shakespeare.

“The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood” by Mary Lynn Dobson
Dates: July 16-19, 2026
Directed by Walker Scott

It sure is hard to be humble when you’re a swashbuckling, egocentric super-hero. But our gallant guy-in-green tries his best as he swaggers through The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood, a frantically funny, Monty Pythonesque retelling of the classic. This time around, the legendary legend, in his never-ending quest to aid the needy, encounters a lovely damsel-in-distress (oddly obsessed with skin conditions); an ever-scheming sheriff who would rather bowl a strike than hit a bull’s-eye; a gold-hoarding, bad-guy monarch wannabe; and a good-natured “Town’s Guy” who manages to make his way into every scene, whether he belongs there or not. Combine them with an expandable band of spoon-wielding Merry Men whose collective IQs equal six, and you’ve got an irreverent jaunt through Sherwood Forest you won’t soon forget!

“The Philadelphia Story” by Philip Barry
Dates: September 11-27, 2026
Directed by Darci Rose Wells

Tracy Lord, of the Philadelphia Lords, is a headstrong and spoiled daughter of the privileged class. Divorced from C.K. Dexter Haven, she plans to wed a successful young snob. At the family estate, Tracy’s wedding weekend grows more eventful as a gossip reporter and a camerawoman arrive cover the wedding arrangements. Tracy’s brother hopes to divert their attention from Father Lord’s romance with a Broadway dancer, and Tracy finds herself growing interested in Connor, the fascinating reporter. This Broadway hit was adapted into a smash 1940 film starring Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant and James Stewart. The play was later adapted into the musical film High Society, starring Grace Kelly, Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra.

“Lawless Spirits 2026”
Dates: October 22-25, 2026
Directed by Tanya Gilmer

The Lionheart Theatre Company’s signature spooky walking tour of Historic Downtown Norcross returns with even more restless spirits in haunting vignettes inspired by local Georgia history.

“A Lesson Before Dying” by Romulus Linney
Dates: November 6-22, 2026
Directed by Rial Ellsworth

Jefferson, an innocent young man, is condemned to death in backwoods Louisiana in 1948. At the trial his lawyer, trying to save his life, called him no more a human being than a hog. In prison, he acts like one, insisting that he will be dragged like that hog to his death in the electric chair. His godmother asks a schoolteacher to teach him to die like a man. The teacher, Grant Wiggins, struggling to quit his poor parish school and leave the South, faces both Jefferson and himself as execution day arrives. Ernest J. Gaines’ celebrated novel makes an engrossing, moving and finally devastating play for the stage.
