Whether you’re new to performing or want to continue to build your skills, Lionheart’s classes are the right place for you to learn and grow. Our instructors are experienced theatre professionals who will share with you the valuable insight and lessons you need to excel on stage.

Little Comedians Workshop (Ages 4-7)
In-person class with Kirsten Krehbiel and Sasha Friedman
Saturday, February 6, 2021 – 10 am to Noon
Cost: $50

A 2-hour introduction to Sketch Comedy Acting for our young comedians.
Students will have the opportunity to play improv and character games, explore physicality and vocal ranges, and tap into their imagination. This workshop will take place at the Lionheart Theatre.

Sketchworks Kids on Screen (4 Weeks Plus a Live Video Shoot, Ages 10-15)
Virtual & In-Person with Tom von Dohlen and John D. Babcock III

4 Saturdays, March 4-27, 11 am to 1 pm
Shoot Date: Saturday, April 3 (Tentative)
Cost: $500

From Paper to Screen (It’s a two-parter type of class!)

1) Head Writer John D. Babcock III will guide you in writing your own original Sketch Comedy scripts for film.

2) Coach Tom von Dohlen, who is also a COVID Safety Officer, will direct you in your own video production of the sketch.

Watch your script come to life on screen! Video will premiere during the Comedy Thespians Live Showcase on June 6, 2021 at the Lionheart Theatre.

Complete the Kids Comedy Filmmakers and Kids Comedy Thespians Classes and become part of the Sketchworks Kids Pinion Ensemble!

3 Saturdays, May 22-June 5, 11 am to 1 pm (Rehearsal at Lionheart)

From Paper to Stage

Similar to our Level Two Adult Comedy Acting Class, this class challenges our young Pinions to produce their very own sketch comedy show. Students will write their own sketches and solo character pieces, learn about behind-the-scenes stage production, rehearse, and put on on their own show.

The class culminates in a Live Theatre Performance at Lionheart!
