Lionheart Presents Our 2022 Season

The Lionheart Theatre Company is excited to announce our 2022 season of classics, marking the 22nd anniversary of Lionheart.

“A Streetcar Named Desire”
March 4-20, 2022

The play tells the story of Blanche DuBois, a fading southern belle who is forced to come to New Orleans to stay with her younger sister Stella. Blanche has lost the family home Belle Reve, along with her teaching position and her grasp on the genteel life she’s led so far. In New Orleans, Blanche is confronted by the different circumstances of Stella’s life, including Stella’s husband Stanley Kowalski and his animalistic, brutish nature. As Blanche navigates this new world, her illusions about the life she’s left behind versus reality result in tragedy for the sisters.

Let out only for holidays, the play centers around the inner conflicts of the royal family as they fight over both a kingdom and King Henry’s paramour during the Christmas of 1183.
